Working Offline

Which entries save without a connection, and what waits until you are back online.

Which entries save offline?

Kamna's entry sheets save offline: yarn, fabric and trims receipts, cutting, pieces sent and received, and bills.

An entry made offline waits on the device and sends when the connection returns. The status line shows Saved, Saving, Not saved or Offline.

What needs an internet connection?

Creating a lot or a fabric run needs a connection, and so do closing and reopening a lot.

Ask needs a connection too.

How do numbers work offline?

Offline, type the number from your book, because a blank number is given by the server only when the entry arrives.

This goes for yarn, fabric and trim numbers, and in India for challan numbers. Typing it keeps the paper and the app in agreement before the goods move.

What happens to an entry the server rejects?

An entry rejected when it syncs is taken out of the queue, and the app tells you how many were rejected.

What happens to offline entries after the access date?

A dispatch saved offline after the access date stays on the device, shows Not saved, and sends once the owner pays.

Nothing entered is lost. See the subscription and the access date.
