Notifications and the bell
What Kamna tells you without your asking, how it reaches you, and how to choose what does.
What does Kamna notify me about?
Three things, without your asking: a date that passed with the work not done, a lot or fabric run that closed, and, for the owner, new findings to read.
Each one comes by email and to your phone together, and the bell lists every one you were sent.
Where do I see my notifications?
Tap the bell at the top right of any screen, on a phone or a computer, to open Notifications.
Every notice you were sent is listed there, newest first, whatever you switched off in Account. The bell shows a blue dot while something is unread, and an unread row is in bold with a blue dot. Each row says what happened, the lot, run, plan or request it is about, and when it was sent. Tap a row to open what it is about: the lot, the fabric run, the plan, the purchase request, or Home for the findings. Mark all read clears the dots. The list has a Product tab; nothing else is sent today.
Which missed dates send a notification?
Five dates where work is due: a garment stage's wanted-back date, a fabric stage's wanted-back date, a lot's delivery date, a plan's cutting week and a purchase request's wanted-by date.
A date speaks once, at 09:00 IST on the morning after it passes with the work not done: one email and one push that day listing every one of yours, and a row each in Notifications. While the work is on time, nothing is sent. Work that is done never speaks: a stage that came back, a lot that closed, a plan whose cutting started, a request received in full or closed. Moving a date starts it again, so if the new date passes too, you hear the morning after. Dates that passed before notifications began are not sent.
Everyone with a login gets deadlines, the owner and staff. A missed date is never a finding: Home's findings no longer show a late date, and Ask still answers which lots or stages are late.
What does a lot close notification say?
When a garment lot or a fabric run is closed, everyone with a login is told.
The owner's says the pieces, the cost per piece and the margin; for a fabric run, the kilos or metres made and the cost per kilo or metre. Staff's says the quantities only, never a cost or a margin.
When does the findings notification come?
On a day Kamna finds something new in your entries, the owner gets one notice: Review your factory's findings of the day.
It opens Home, where the findings are. A day with nothing new sends nothing, and staff never get it. Findings explains what they are.
How do I choose which notifications reach me?
Open Admin, Account, Notifications: Deadlines, Lot close and, for the owner, Findings, each with its own Email and Push switch.
All are on to begin with. Turn one off and that kind stops coming that way; the other way still comes, and Notifications still lists it. Your switches are yours alone and change nothing for anyone else in the factory. Push reaches a phone that has the Kamna app and is signed in. On the web, email and the bell carry everything.
Why did a notification come only to my phone?
Kamna's email has a daily limit shared with sign-in codes, so on a busy day some notices come by push and in Notifications only.
When a day's notices would use the email kept for sign-in codes, the rest of that day's notices skip email, so a sign-in code always arrives.
What do notifications never carry?
A price, an offer or anything about billing.
Staff are never sent a cost, a rate, a margin or a value. Kamna sends nothing for a date still ahead: a date speaks only when it is missed.
