Cutting and Fabric Consumption
How to record a cutting event, and how Kamna shows the fabric each piece used.
How do I enter cutting on a lot?
Open the lot, tap Log cutting, pick the fabric from Fabric stock, and enter how much was consumed and how many pieces were cut in each size.
Enter the quantity you measured: kilos for knit fabric, metres for woven. The box shows the fabric's unit. You can also record a cutting vendor, a rate and the payout. The payout is the lot's cutting cost.
Why does Kamna never estimate fabric consumption?
Consumption in Kamna is always what was measured at cutting, never what the style says should be needed.
The style's piece weight or metres per piece is the target. Kamna compares it with what cutting used and never puts it in place of what was used.
How do I cut fabric that was received by colour?
When the fabric was received colour by colour and dia by dia, or width by width for woven, cutting asks the measured quantity of each cell you pick.
All selects every colour, but it never splits the weight for you. Splitting a fabric by colour means weighing what each colour consumed.
How does Kamna show consumption per piece?
Each cutting event shows what it used per piece: grams per piece for knit fabric, metres per piece for woven.
The lot's Cutting line totals what was cut in the fabric's own unit. A lot that cut knit and woven fabric shows two totals side by side, because Kamna never adds kilos to metres.
What happens if I delete a cutting entry?
Deleting a cutting entry puts the fabric back into stock and takes the cut pieces off the lot.
