Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to set up?

Create an account, add your styles and your vendors. That takes an afternoon. Start entering production from the next day.

Can I import my old registers or spreadsheets?

No, and that is deliberate. Whatever is wrong in your old data would become wrong in your reports, and you would never know which numbers were real. You enter fresh, and from that day forward every number in Kamna is one you can check against your own register.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Android and iOS, both app stores. No computer needed. The app works offline too, your entries sync when you are back online.

Do my staff need training?

The app is built for staff who have never used production software before. Fixed steps, simple forms, no typing long descriptions. If they can use WhatsApp, they can use Kamna.

What can I track?

Five screens cover yarn to finished piece. Garment production lots with vendor stages. Fabric production runs. Yarn, fabric and trims inventory. Every dispatch, every receipt, every weight.

How does cost per piece work?

Kamna builds your cost per piece from actual data: fabric weight used, vendor bills, cutting payouts, trims consumed, additional costs. No estimates, no percentages carried from last season. The real number on every lot.

What does the AI analysis do?

Kamna reads your production data overnight and surfaces what matters. A vendor holding your lot past the deadline. A rate that changed across lots. Stock sitting idle. Each finding comes with a rupee figure and names exactly what to check.

Can I ask questions about my factory data?

Yes. Type a question on the Home screen and Kamna answers from your actual data. "What is my cost per piece on lot 47?" "Which vendor has the most lots right now?" Answers with real numbers, not guesses.

Does it generate challans?

Yes. Rule 55 delivery challans with your GSTIN, your vendor's GSTIN, lot details, pieces, and weights. Auto-generated when you dispatch. Every field the e-way bill portal asks for is on it.

Does it do accounting?

No. Kamna runs yarn to piece. Your accountant and your billing software handle everything before and after. Kamna gives your accountant clean data through exports, replaces nothing in their workflow.

Can it file my ITC-04 or GST returns?

No. But every field ITC-04 asks for is already on your challans, and your challan register exports with challan numbers, dates, vendor details, pieces sent and received. Your accountant files from that, the same way they file everything else.

Does it connect to Tally?

Not today. Kamna will give your accountant a file to import into Tally the way Tally imports everything else. No software installed on your office computer, no need for Tally to be running.

Does it track finished goods, dispatch to buyers, or invoicing?

No. Kamna hands your store exactly what entered it: closed-lot output, counted and costed per size and colour. The store and billing belong where billing lives.

Can I track purchase orders to mills?

No. Your POs live where they are raised, in your accounting system. Kamna tells you the thing your PO list cannot: that a lot is about to stall for want of material, before the day you need it.

Is it really free?

What happens after the free period?

Your data stays safe. You will see your data but cannot enter new production until you subscribe. Nothing is ever deleted.
