Home, Ask and Findings

What the first screen shows, how to ask your factory a question, and what findings are.

What does the Home screen show?

Home is the first screen for every role. Owners see five status tiles, a headline, Ask and the findings. Staff see three tiles, a stock snapshot and the vendor list.

A tile with nothing in it yet says which entry would fill it.

What do the Home tiles mean?

  • Output: first quality pieces from closed lots, week by week.
  • Garment runs: how many lots are open.
  • Fabric runs: how many fabric runs are open and what was issued to them, with kilos and metres shown apart.
  • Margin: the average margin across closed lots that have a target selling price. Owners only.
  • At vendors: what is out with vendors now and how many vendors hold it. Five rows show, then a count of the rest.

The headline above Ask is the factory telling you what it can say. While a factory is new, it points to the next entry that would let it say more.

How do I ask Kamna a question?

Type your question in plain words into Ask, the box on Home, and Kamna answers from your own entries and its own help.

You can ask what a piece cost, who holds your pieces, which lot is late, or how to enter something. Ask can walk you through an entry step by step. It never types into a box for you and never moves you to another screen: it names the screen and the tap. Ask needs an internet connection.

How many questions can Ask answer?

Ask answers up to 30 questions a day and 300 a month for each factory.

At the limit it says so in one line, and it opens again the next day or the next month. If Ask says it is busy, too many questions reached it in the same minute. Ask again a minute later.

Does Ask keep a conversation?

A conversation with Ask stays on your device for one hour after the last message, then starts fresh.

Inside that hour you can close the panel, change screens or reopen the app and carry on. Kamna keeps no list of old conversations.

What are findings?

Findings are the few things worth money that Kamna found in your entries, each shown with its evidence. A deadline about to slip is a finding. So is a vendor taking longer than his own record. A quiet day is shown as a quiet day.

Each finding has three actions:

  • Acted on: for a finding you have dealt with.
  • Wrong: the finding itself is wrong. This counts against the check that raised it.
  • Ignore: takes a finding off Home without calling it wrong. It asks once more, and it is permanent for that stage.

What notes does Kamna send the owner?

When nothing has been entered for a while, or the first entries are still missing, Kamna sends the owner a short note by push and by email.

Each note says what the factory holds and what the next entry is. The notes are about your own account, never offers.
